The Kenneth L. Maddy Institute
The Kenneth L. Maddy Institute at California State University, Fresno was established to honor the legacy of one of California’s most principled and effective legislative leaders of the last half of the 20th Century by engaging, preparing and inspiring a new generation of governmental leaders for the 21st Century.
Citizen Participation, Government Leadership and Policy Analysis
The Institute’s work is focused in three key areas: Citizen Participation, Government Leadership and Policy Analysis.
Our work in the area of Citizen Participation involves engaging citizens of all ages and inspiring them to follow Senator Maddy’s example of active citizen participation.
Our work in the area of Government Leadership involves preparing the next generation of political and governmental leaders, as well as assisting governmental organizations in improving their efficiency and effectiveness.
Our work in the area of Policy Analysis involves providing research to elected officials and public managers that is a non-partisan, interdisciplinary and fact-driven analysis of the issues.
We invite you to learn more about The Maddy Institute and we encourage you to become more involved in public affairs to help make your community, your state and your nation a better place for all of our citizens.
