From time to time, The Maddy Institute will hold seminars and forums.

Seminars on leadership and public policy issues may be sponsored by The Maddy Institute or co-sponsored with other organizations. If you would like to co-sponsor a seminar on governmental leadership or a public policy issue of importance to region, please contact The Maddy Institute.

The Maddy Institute will also host forums to encourage democratic debate on important public policy issues, with the idea that these discussions will ultimately guide further research and analysis. As a result, The Maddy Institute regularly solicits speakers and participants from the government and universities, as well as from business, civic and non-profit organizations to discuss the important public policy issues of the day.

The Maddy Institute’s forums are headed by a chairperson who serves as a moderator. The moderator’s role is to encourage critical questioning to foster a deeper understanding of the issues among the participants. Our goal, in short, is to encourage an analytical approach to vital public policy issues.
